KC-135 ARAI Phase 2 testing began
Phase 2 testing of the KC-135 Automatic Receiver Aircraft Identification (ARAI) has began at Edwards Air Force Base.
The tanker will use its ARAI antennas to scan an F-16 with RFID tags to see if it recognizes it and accurately gauge the amount of fuel transferred.
