Plans by the U.S. Navy and General Atomics to launch an aircraft using the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) this fall has suffered a setback.
The shuttle that accelerates the aircraft – damaged important equipment during test in January when it went the wrong direction.
The software error delayed the program by three months and caused $52,000 worth of damage.
