RoCAF ground crew injured during pre-flight check, pilot went ahead with mission

A RoCAF ground crew was injured during pre-flight checks of a IDF fighter at Ching Chuan Kang AFB last month but the pilot insisted on carrying on with the flight.

A post-flight inspection found that the starboard tailplane had hit the ground crew and resulted in a long crack on the surface.  The repairs took three days.

An investigation revealed that the airman was in the wrong position during the checks and there were two versions of the training manuals.
