DARPA has given Northrop Grumman a $33 million contract to demonstrate buddy refueling of Global Hawks at high altitude.
NGC will carry out the demonstration using NASA’s Global Hawks. Besides demonstrating the ability to refuel, the program has to prove that HALE UAVs can fly in formation.
