Germany to cut €10 billion in spending, Luftwaffe bore the brunt

The German Defense Ministry hopes to cut €10 billion in spending and the Luftwaffe will bore the brunt of the cuts.

15 Transall military transports will be retired immediately and the number of A400Ms ordered will be reduced.

On the rotary side, only 80 NH90s will enter service instead of 122 and 40 Tiger attack helicopters will be bought.

One hundred Tornado fighters will be retired as soon as possible and the air force will have 37 few Eurofighters.

  1. Why not? Good ole’ Uncle Sugar here will take care of you. Why even bother with any more than a couple of aircraft? Retire them all, and let the Americans tote the water. The US is stupid enough to do it too. How else can you explain how they keep a military alliance that is ancient and should be scrapped immediately?
