Japanese court calls MCAS Futenma “most dangerous air base in the world”
A Japanese appeals court ruled that Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in Okinawa, Japan is a hazard to residents living nearby.
The three judges also increased the amount of damages awarded by a lower court to the residents earlier from 147 million yen to 369 million yen.
However, the plaintiffs request to ban night flying was overruled.
