French plan to arm Lebanon Gazelles with HOT unveiled

Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat reported that France has offered to arm Lebanon’s Gazelle helicopters with HOT anti-tank missiles.

The paper said French Defense Minister Herve Morin had sent a letter to his Lebanese counterpart Elias Murr in May that Paris is ready to supply 100 HOT missiles.

A French official quoted by the paper said Israel had “protested” the deal and the United States also raised “question marks” over this arms deal.
