One of four Japanese spy satellites, and the only one with radar capability, has failed in orbit.
The No. 2 radar satellite, launched in February 2007, has a snag with its power supply system and efforts are underway to restore it back to life.
Meanwhile, the other three optical satellites are working to minimize the impact.
