A Japan-U.S. expert panel has present a report on the runway configuration for the replacement site of MCAS Futenma.
Besides the V-shaped runway agreed upon between Japan and the United States in 2006, the panel suggested a I-shaped runway as well.
The new suggestion uses less resources to construct but will take longer to build.
