Eurojet’s engine bid for Tejas is 20% lower than GE

When bids were opened for the Tejas engine tender, Eurojet was found to have offered a bid that is twenty percent lower than General Electric.

Eurojet bid $666 million for 99 EJ200 engines while GE quoted $822 million.

Industry experts say the engine choice for Tejas could shape the MMRAC competition as three competitors in the competition uses both types of engines.
