The Israeli cabinet ruled out a preemptive air strike against Egyptian and Syrian forces on the morning of the Yom Kippur War, minutes of the meeting revealed.
The possibility of launching a preemptive strike is raised throughout the meeting. However, Prime Minister Golda Meir and Defense Minister Moshe Dayan opposes the idea.
