A Northrop Grumman spokeswoman confirmed that her company is in talks with Japan over the sale of the Global Hawk.
Gemma Loochkharrt said: “Currently, JMoD has not selected Global Hawk or finalized its operational requirements. Using the U.S. Air Force operations as an example, three to four Global Hawk aircraft provide a longer term operating capability, including the ability to provide long periods of continuous, round-the-clock ISR coverage.”
