French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle has been forced to return to port for repairs on the day it set sail for an Afghan support mission.
The French Navy said an electric cabinet in the ship’s propulsion system needs to be repair. The repairs are likely to last a few days but the carrier will recover lost time at sea and its itinerary is not likely to change.
