Romanian MiG-21 crashed
Romania lost one of its MiG-21 during a training exercise Monday. Both pilots were killed instantly in the crash near the Transylvanian town of Campia Turzii.
Lockheed Martin to modernize Apache’s M-TADS/PNVS
The U.S. Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $65 million contract to continue modernization of the Apache helicopter’s Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) system.
Britain would welcome U.S. picking EADS tanker
Gen. Nicholas Houghton, vice chief of Britain’s defense staff, told reporters in Washington that he would welcome a decision by the U.S. Air Force to buy refueling tankers from EADS.

Raytheon to Upgrade U.S. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard F-16 Displays
Raytheon has won a contract to upgrade the Center Display Unit (CDU) of U.S. Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard F-16 aircraft. The initial contract value is $3.1 million for system integration and pre-production units. The contract includes options for production of up to 120 systems per year for five years.
