After securing a contract from DARPA to develop a long-range anti-ship missile, Lockheed Martin said it expected a second contract to develop an air-launched version.
The company also revealed that the new missile will be derived from it Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range (JASSM-ER) weapon.
