The U.S. Army’s Cobra Retirement Program at Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield will end in January with the last four AH-1 delivered to Thailand.
For the last 11 years, Cobra helicopters have entered the facility to be stripped, refurbished and/or sold as parts. Some had a new live fighting forest fires while many were sold to foreign military.
