Observations by space sleuths suggest that the X-37B is preparing to return to Earth. Orbital maneuvers around Oct. 6, Nov. 1 and Nov. 12 have reduced its altitude to between 174 miles and 182 miles.
The spacecraft is also nearing its design limit of 270 days in orbit and must land by January.
