Russia’s plan to complete its Glonass satellite navigation system has suffered a setback after a Proton-M rocket carrying three Glonass-M satellites fell into the Pacific Ocean on Sunday.
Russia currently has 26 satellites in orbit but three have failed. A minimum of 24 satellites are needed for worldwide coverage. The latest launch was suppose to remedy the problem.
