EMALS aims to launch first aircraft before Christmas

Engineers are trying to launch an aircraft using the Electro-magnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) before Christmas.

The test is to be conducted at Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst using an instrumented F/A-18E.
