Northrop Grumman’s solid-state laser clocks more than 6 hours

Northrop Grumman’s 100-kilowatt solid-state military laser has logged more than six hours of operating time.

The next step is to bring the laser to a specialized, high-energy laser test range at White Sands Missile Range where it will be integrated with existing beam control and command and control systems to form the core of the U.S. Army’s Solid State Laser Testbed Experiment.
