Argentine president fires air base commander over ammo theft

When Argentine President Cristina Fernandez found out that thieves have broken into a munitions dump inside an air force ammo deposit in El Palomar, she sack the commander of the base.

Whilst the 2,982 rounds of 9 mm ammunition and 29,891 rounds of 22-caliber ammo have been rendered useless due to flooding, the government felt that the theft from the dump was serious enough to justify the sacking.
