F-15 as J-20 slayer?

Over at Wired, David Axe argued that F-15C/Es equipped with AESA radars will be able to defeat the J-20 by teaming up with the F-22.

The F-15s will fly in front of the F-22s seeking out targets with its radar while the F-22 will remain behind with its radar off to carry out sneak attacks.

  1. Mr. Axe needs to stick to following the troops which he’s good at.

    The Chinese could team the J-20 with either the J-10A/B or the J-11A/B flying with the new Chinese Type 1475/KLJ5 X-band AESA using the same strategy and go hunting F-22’s.
