The Pentagon’s Director of Operational Test and Evaluation has disclosed new problems affecting two models of the F-35.
Both A and B models experienced “transonic wing roll-off, [and] greater than expected sideslip during medium angle-of-attack testing.”
The F135 engine is also unable to reach maximum power due to an afterburner “screech.”
