South Korea wants longer-range ballistic missiles

South Korea is in discussions with United States to remove a cap on the range and payload of its ballistic missile.

The current agreement limits South Korea’s ballistic missiles to 300 km with a payload capacity at 500 kg.

Seoul likes to increase the range to 1,000 km and carry a 1 ton warhead.
