South Korea is accelerating the introduction of stealth fighters by 2015 under its FX III program.
The original plan was to have a fifth generation fighter operational by 2016. To have a new fighter by 2015, South Korea will have to select an aircraft by this year. The front runners are Boeing’s F-15SE and Lockheed Martin’s F-35.
