A USAF A-10 making an emergency landing at Nellis Air Force Base dropped two MK82 bombs in a safe zone five miles north of Nellis Air Force Base on Friday, one of the bombs exploded on impact.
The jet, attached to the 66th Weapons Squadron, had experienced an engine problem.
