French Ambassador to Malta, Daniel Rondeau, told reporters that a French Air Force Mirage F1 that made an emergency landing in Malta on Saturday was ten minutes away from crashing.
“It was a serious problem. If the plane did not land immediately, the pilot would have been obliged to eject within 10 minutes,” M. Rondeau said.
