A Taiwanese opposition aboriginal lawmaker has criticized the RoCAF for painting the Amis totem on some of its F-16s without having a proper ceremony.
Chen Ying said the move could anger the ancestral spirit of the Amis tribe and spell disaster for the Air Force.
The RoCAF said it had painted 18 of the 20 fighters to a low-visibility paint due to operational requirements.
