Washington sold F-16s to Pakistan to prevent Islamabad from using nuclear weapons

The United States decided to provide F-16s to Pakistan in 2005 so that Islamabad will be less incline to use nuclear weapons during a conflict with India.

However, Washington’s assessment is that the aircraft is still insufficient to counter India’s superiority in air power, WikiLeaks documents suggest.
