The Chinese-language Duowei News reported that U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Beijing in August and he would make use of the opportunity to inform China of his administration’s decision to upgrade Taiwan’s F-16A/Bs.
The report also said Biden will promise Beijing that new F-16C/Ds will not be sold to Taiwan in the near future.
