Britain getting AN/TPS-77 to overcome disruptions caused by wind farms

Energy companies are buying two AN/TPS-77 Tactical Transportable Radar Systems for the RAF so that they can roll out wind farms in the countryside.

A major obstacle to the deployment of winds farms is that the turbines block out radar signals, creating black holes in the systems currently in place around the coastline.

With the new radars, coverage of Britain’s early warning radar system can be restored.
