EU: Al-Qaeda’s north African branch has SHORADs
The EU’s counter-terrorism coordinator warned on Monday that Al-Qaeda’s north African branch (AQIM) has obtained surface-to-air missiles.
At a news conference marking the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Gilles de Kerchove said AQIM was taking root both on the Arab peninsula and in Africa, posing a mounting threat.
