Investigations into the failure of Raytheon’s Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle last December found that the warhead has a fatal flaw that only surface when in space.
The U.S. Missile Defense Agency said corrective work is underway for the warhead that goes into the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system.
