It has emerged that Canada’s F-35s will not have the ability to communicate via satellite while flying over the Arctic.
Lockheed Martin says software needed for satellite communications will not be ready until 2019.
Canada is exploring various work-around and one option is to fit an external communications pod to the F-35.
