From warehouseman to Maj. General, longest serving USAF officer prepares to retire

Maj. Gen. Alfred K. Flowers is the longest serving Airman and currently the longest serving U.S. Air Force officer. Flowers is set to retire from the Air Force on Jan. 1, 2012.
