Two Taiwanese Air Force Academy AT-3 trainers were involved in a mid-air collision on Friday and one crashed.
The lead aircraft (No 0816) lost its left horizontal tail but returned to land at Gangshan Air Force Base while the other jet (No 0809) lost control.
