Taiwan to consolidate mid- and high-altitude air-defense missile units under one command

In a bid to shorten the command chain and increase response time, Taiwan will consolidate its mid- and high-altitude air-defense missile units and anti-missile operations into a single command.

PAC-3, Tien Kung and Hawk missile batteries will no longer be under the air force’s command structure. Those units will report to the missile command under the General Staff Headquarters.
