The Pentagon’s acting acquisition chief told Congress that multi-year purchase of the V-22 and CH-47F will lead to substantial savings.
Frank Kendall said a block purchase of 98 V-22s would save at least $852 million and at least $373 million for 155 new and upgraded CH-47F helicopters.
