GAO says KC-46 program faces “significant schedule risks”

The U.S. Government Accountability Office found that the Boeing KC-46 development program faces “significant schedule risks” and technical challenges.

The program is also $900 million over budget. It also found a significant level of concurrency in the testing program. With only 60 percent of the flight testing completed when low-rate production of the tanker starts in August 2015.
