Proton K makes last flight with Oko-class early warning satellite as payload

The Proton K rocket made its last flight after 45 years of service by carrying a Russian Oko-class early warning satellite into space on Mar. 30.

The rocket left the launch pad at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 0549 GMT and a DM upper stage deployed the Russian military payload in the targeted orbit at 1227 GMT.
