USAF has backlog of data collected by drones

U.S. Air Force Secretary Michael Donley told reporters that his service decided to cut back the number of MQ-9s for the proposed 2013 budget as his people is struggling with analyzing a backlog of data collected by drones.

“It’s not just the pilots and manning the aircraft. It’s also the [data] processing exploitation behind that …. We’re collecting data at rates well above what we had in the past.”
