According to media reports from Taiwan, some military leaders are suggesting that the island abandons its efforts to buy new F-16s save the funds for the F-35B.

Makin Island, Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Groups turnover duties

The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) were relieved of their duties in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) by the Iwo Jima ARG and the 24th MEU, May 5.

South Korea, U.S. launch largest air drill

Exercise Max Thunder has started on Monday in South Korea with 60 military aircraft taking part. This year is the biggest since the exercise was introduced in 2008 as a biannual event.
