The Netherlands Ministry of Defense wants to buy new CH-47F helicopters instead of modifying existing CH-47Ds to the F-model.
Defense Minister Hans Hillen said the new-built helicopters will allow the Netherlands armed forces to fly the type until 2045 whereas the upgraded ones can fly until 2035.
