A Belarusian Su-25 fighter bomber crashed on Tuesday during a low-altitude training exercise. Although commanded to eject, the pilot choose to remain in the aircraft to prevent it from crashing into a neighboring village.

Something similar happened in my local area during the Second World War, the pilot crashed his aircraft in a field just outside a school to avoid hitting it. The school was later renamed after him.
