Belgian lost an F-16 near the town of Peer on Aug. 16 after hitting a flock of birds. The pilot ejected safely.

Boeing gets into High Velocity Penetrating Weapon game
Boeing has become the latest entrant to join the U.S. Air Force High Velocity Penetrating Weapon program. The HVPW program aims to develop a 2,000-pound bunker-busting munition with solid-rocket propulsion and have the power equivalent of a 5,000-pound gravity bomb.

A Saab 2000 Erieye AEW&C was damaged during the attack at Minhas air base on Thursday. Engineers from the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex have examined it and deemed it repairable.

Private plane came close to Putin’s Mi-8
A report by Izvestiya newspaper said a private plane entered the airspace surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Mi-8 helicopter on May 26. The flight path is supposed to be cleared of any traffic when Putin is airborne.
