Mitt Romney plans to build missile defense ship, battle group-deployable frigate if elected

An adviser for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has revealed in an interview with Defense News on their plans for the U.S. Navy.

John Lehman, President Ronald Reagan’s Secretary of the Navy, discussed plans to create an 11th carrier air wing; build a new battle group-deployable frigate, along with a ballistic missile defense ship.
