Lockheed Martin not USAF to select AESA for F-16

The U.S. Air Force has decided that it will let Lockheed Martin supply the AESA radar for its F-16 upgrade.

Previously, the strategy was that the Pentagon would supply Lockheed with an AESA radar as government furnished equipment.

Lockheed Martin will now go pick between Northrop Grumman’s Scalable Agile Beam Radar and the Raytheon Advanced Combat Radar based on USAF operational requirements.
