MDA successfully conducts largest, most complex missile defense flight test

The U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force simultaneous engaged five ballistic missile and cruise missile targets on Oct. 25.



A THAAD missile from the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command shot down an Extended Long Range Air Launch Target launched by a C-17 over Wake island.

A short range ballistic missile target was engaged with a PAC-3 by the 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command.

USS Fitzgerald successfully engaged a low flying cruise missile using a SM-2.
