U.S. to place two key space systems in Australia

The United States will move an Air Force C-band space-surveillance radar from Antigua in the West Indies to Western Australia in 2014.

It will also install a DARPA space surveillance optical telescope that can better detect and track small objects at deep-space altitudes.
