EU states to sign “letter of intent” to boost their air-to-air refueling capacity

EU officials said European states will sign a “letter of intent” at an EU defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels to work together to boost their air-to-air refueling capacity.

The shortcoming was evident during the war in Libya last year. European Defence Agency (EDA), the EU’s defense cooperation arm, is encouraging European states to acquire more refueling pods as a short term measure.
